Yahoo Maps Beta

Yahoo has released a new version of it’s map service. It looks very much like Google’s with the ability to search for items on the map and drag the map around via the mouse cursor.

As you can see, they look very much alike. I do like Yahoo’s little mini map overview. On the Yahoo page, you can also collapse the side bar with all the search textboxes by clicking the little arrow. All in all, they are similar services until you recall that Google Maps can do Hybird Maps with Satellite imagery. I love this view because you can actually see what is there along with the road you will need to take to your destination.
