Since I have been slow to add anything to this site, I decided any time I find a useful bit of .Net code I will post it here. Today I needed to display XML in a web browser control. I found some one has modified the build in IE XSL to bring that same ability to the .Net browser control. Read more here.

LMAO!!
“We have been informed of inappropriate behavior on the show floor by a credentialed media attendee from the Web site Gizmodo, owned by Gawker Media. Specifically, the Gizmodo staffer interfered with the exhibitor booth operations of numerous companies, including disrupting at least one press event. The Gizmodo staffer violated the terms of CES media credentials and caused harm to CES exhibitors. This Gizmodo staffer has been identified and will be barred from attending any future CES events. Additional sanctions against Gizmodo and Gawker Media are under discussion.”

Welp, after leaving this site sit stale for far to long, I am back. A lot has changed in my life since I last posted. I am now working for a small programming company called VIS Systems. We develop software for the insurance industry using VB.Net. I have also graduated, moved, and married the girl of my dreams. Needless to say life has kept me busy lately. I am finally getting more free time to work on projects I have let sit. You will get to hear about some of them as I start em back up. Stay tuned.

Free calls to all landlines and mobile phones within the US and Canada - Skype Blogs
“We just announced that SkypeOut is now free within the US and Canada to all landlines and mobiles, until at least the end of 2006.
How does this work?
If you’re in the US or Canada, you can use SkypeOut to call any landline or mobile number in both the USA and Canada for free.
If you’re in the US or Canada and calling any other country, OR if you’re in any other country and calling landline or mobile numbers in the US or Canada, the standard SkypeOut rates apply.
Of course, Skype-to-Skype calls continue to be globally free, so no changes there.”
Just make sure you dial +1 then the number with the area code. Ignore any messages you see telling you about skype out credit. You can even do conference calls. Just add the numbers to your phone book and start a call. It really works!!!

Hot on the heels of Gentoo’s announcement of their 2006.0 release, OSDir has published a Gentoo 2006.0 Screenshot Tour which give us a walk-through of installing Gentoo with the first ever Gentoo Linux LiveCD.
I am a huge Gentoo fan. All of my linux boxes run it. I have a computer sitting next to me that I have been wanting to install gentoo on but I have not had the freetime to do it. Needless to say, I am downloading 2006.0 right now to try it out. I will report back with my thoughts in the coming days.
